Marnell was born in a family of farmers. She spent her youth as a farmgirl on the same land that she now started working. Our ground is situated on the Robbehoek road in the ………………………………… The Tsitsikamma is special, it is wet all year and has the most amazing climate to grow organic produce out in the open.
Purpose and personal wellbeing come from self-worth and self-worth comes from our ability to care for self and family. Marnell’s vision is to develop an economic hub for small and micro farmers. The community farming program is thus focused on equipping small and micro farmers, in the Tsitsikamma to become sustainable in their own micro business / farms and become worthy role players, participating in organic vegetables and farm produce through a managed system.
A simplified view would be my dad is a fisherman, my mother has 4 spare pots, my auntie has access to cooking oil, I have a table and a primus, we have access to a client base. Thus, we have a business. Combining resources, to be both Entrepreneurial and Strategic with the important goal to develop revenue streams/wealth from this grass-root level.
